US President Donald Trump's top science advisor, Michael Kratsios, stated that India is a technology powerhouse that is central to the White House's global artificial intelligence initiative, highlighting the country's deep engineering expertise and growing innovation ecosystem.
He added that India produces an incredible number of engineers, has a strong domestic talent pool, and is developing robust products and applications. This statement comes from the top American scientific advisor who recently returned from India after attending the India AI Impact Summit.
Mr. Kratsios positioned India within a broader US strategy to achieve what he described as "real AI sovereignty" among partner nations. He also noted that India has long been a strong partner in the sharing of technology abroad and that American tech giants have data centers and research operations in the country, which is helping to deepen integration within the American AI ecosystem.
