The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is set to welcome tourists with nearly eighteen lakh tulips of over seventy varieties blooming across the scenic Zabarwan foothills.

March 10, Srinagar: Asia's largest tulip garden, the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, is set to open for visitors on March 16, officials announced on Tuesday.

Speaking exclusively to DD News Srinagar, Director Floriculture Kashmir, Mathoora Masoom, said that as tulips have begun to bloom, the department has decided to open the garden to the public for the new season.

Located on the foothills of the Zabarwan Range overlooking the iconic Dal Lake, the garden has been fully prepared to welcome tourists and visitors.

Officials said that the garden will showcase around 1.8 million tulips of nearly 70 to 75 varieties this year. The authorities have enhanced flower-bed density to create a more vibrant and colourful floral display, offering a unique experience to visitors from across the country and abroad.
