Bhopal, March 18 Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said on Wednesday that, given the seriousness of the incident, officials have been instructed to conduct a thorough investigation into the fire at a building in Indore that claimed eight lives.
Officials and experts from Bhopal have been sent to Indore to conduct the investigation, the chief minister said.
Eight members of a family were killed after a fire broke out at the three-story house of a businessman following an explosion at an Electric Vehicle (EV) charging point outside the building in Indore city early on Wednesday.
Yadav told reporters here that accidents involving digital locks and EV charging units present a new challenge.
"The state government will work to prevent such incidents and raise awareness. We will strive to ensure that such incidents do not recur," he said.
Special caution is required when using these devices, the CM added.
