RAJOURI, MARCH 02: Anice Joseph Chandran, Joint Secretary, NCCF, Government of India, and the Central Nodal Officer for the PM SHRI Schools, conducted an extensive visit to several educational institutions in the Rajouri district today. She was accompanied by the State Coordinator for PM SHRI Schools, Fayaz Ahmed Fayaz, and the Chief Education Officer, Mohammad Hafiz.

During the visit, the Central Nodal Officer reviewed the implementation and progress of the PM SHRI scheme across the district. She inspected the Government Higher Secondary School in Bajabain, the Government Higher Secondary School in Bhawani, the Government Higher Secondary School in Dhangri, and the Government Higher Secondary School in Langer, evaluating the infrastructural upgrades, academic standards, and innovative initiatives introduced under the scheme.

Expressing satisfaction with the overall performance of the institutions, she emphasized the need to effectively translate the Prime Minister’s vision under the PM SHRI initiative into tangible outcomes. She appreciated the noticeable improvements in infrastructure, enhanced teaching-learning processes, and the adoption of student-centric and innovative practices.

While interacting with students and faculty members, she underscored that the benefits of the PM SHRI scheme should reach every eligible student. She also highlighted the importance of organizing guest lectures by professionals from various fields to provide practical exposure, career guidance, and real-world insights.

Deputy Commissioner Abhishek Sharma met the visiting officer at the Government Higher Secondary School in Dhangri and held detailed discussions on the effective implementation of the scheme. He stressed the inclusion of financial education in schools to foster financial literacy among students from an early age, enabling them to understand savings, investments, and responsible financial management.

The Central Nodal Officer further emphasized integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and coding into the curriculum to equip students for future technological advancements. She noted that early exposure to emerging technologies would empower students to compete confidently in an increasingly digital world.

The State Coordinator, Fayaz Ahmed Fayaz, briefed the officer on the achievements and progress of PM SHRI Schools in the district, while the Chief Education Officer, Mohammad Hafiz, presented a comprehensive overview of infrastructural developments, academic accomplishments, and innovative practices implemented across PM SHRI institutions in Rajouri.
