Injured in Auto-Rickshaw, Car Crash on Thane Flyover.webp

Thane, April 6 Two people were injured in a collision between an auto-rickshaw and a car on a flyover in Thane city, Maharashtra, early Monday morning, leading to an oil spill and slow-moving traffic, an official said.

The accident occurred on a flyover near Kharegaon in the Kalwa area around 5:42 am, he said.

The driver and passenger of the auto-rickshaw were injured when the three-wheeler crashed into a car coming from the opposite direction, said Yasin Tadvi, the chief of the Disaster Management Cell.

The injured were being treated at the civic-run Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Hospital in Kalwa, he said.

He stated that the collision resulted in an oil spill on the road, which slowed down traffic on the route.

"Vehicle movement was temporarily slowed down due to the accident and the oil spill. However, the damaged vehicles were later moved to the side of the road, and traffic was restored," Tadvi added.
