Mumbai, April 2 – Bollywood actress Kajol is celebrating her husband, superstar Ajay Devgn’s birthday in her signature style.
On Thursday, the actress posted a picture of her husband on Instagram, in which he is seen looking at the camera with a sarcastic and tired expression.
In the caption, she wrote, “At some point, the candles on the cake look less like a celebration and more like a fire hazard. I think you’ve reached that point. Happy birthday anyway. May you always have cake (sic)”.
Ajay Devgn is one of the biggest superstars of Hindi cinema, with a successful track record at the box office. He made his debut with ‘Phool Aur Kaante’, and established himself as a leading actor in Hindi cinema during the 1990s and 2000s. He is known for his restrained acting style, and has built a career spanning action, drama, and comedy. His notable films include ‘Jigar’, ‘Dilwale’, ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’, and the ‘Golmaal’ franchise.
He has also directed and produced films under his own banner. One of his most critically acclaimed performances is in ‘Zakhm’. The film, directed by Mahesh Bhatt, sees the actor playing a man dealing with personal and communal conflict, and earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor.
He later won another National Award for ‘The Legend of Bhagat Singh’. Ajay Devgn married Kajol in 1999. The couple has two children and have occasionally collaborated on films. Over time, he has maintained a strong presence at the box office, balancing commercially successful films with content-driven cinema.
