The textile sector has welcomed the Interim Trade Agreement between India and the US. Speaking to Akashvani News, Sanjeev Saran, former Chairman of the Manmade Textiles Export Promotion Council and current member of Export Promotion, stated that the tariff reduction will benefit exporters. Mr. Saran also added that this could also attract new investment and joint ventures in India, as it is now one of the most suitable countries for exporting textiles to the United States.
