March 08, New Delhi - President Droupadi Murmu will preside over the national-level International Women's Day celebrations organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi today.

She will also deliver the keynote address, highlighting women as the cornerstone of society and the nation.

The event features approximately one thousand women participants from over 150 ministries, departments, and organizations, showcasing diverse fields and the growing role of women's contributions. Union Minister Annapurna Devi and Minister of State Savitri Thakur will also be present. The program includes panel discussions on labour codes that empower women and the role of women in self-help groups as entrepreneurs.

This observance aligns with the global theme "Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls," reinforcing India's commitment to women-led development and the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
