March 08, New Delhi - President Droupadi Murmu participated in a programme organized at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi on the occasion of International Women's Day.
Addressing the programme, the President stated that women are now playing a leading role in every field and bringing glory to the country. She said, "I am proud to say that women are no less than anyone."
President Murmu said that the Central Government has launched many schemes for women, and they are benefiting from them. She said that in the last decade, a strong foundation has been laid to remove the obstacles faced by women.
