
Bulandshahr (UP), April 2 The body of a 17-year-old boy, who had gone missing a few days ago, was recovered from a well in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, on Thursday, police said.
The deceased, identified as Anmol, a resident of Chhotabans village under the Ahmedgarh police station area, had left home on the night of March 29 and 30 after receiving a phone call and did not return, they said.
Acting on information, police recovered the body from a well in the village and sent it for post-mortem examination. The body was in a decomposed state, they added.
A case has been registered based on a complaint by the victim's family.
Senior Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh said, "Five teams, including SWAT, surveillance, and field units, have been deployed under the supervision of the rural SP into the matter."
Police are questioning suspects, though no prior enmity has come to light so far, the officer added, assuring strict action against those found involved.
