In the IPL Cricket, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) has faced another significant setback as fast bowler Akash Deep has been ruled out of this season due to injury. The 29-year-old bowler from Bengal is currently undergoing rehabilitation at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. Akash was acquired by the franchise at his base price of 1 crore rupees at last year's mini-auction in Abu Dhabi. Harshit Rana has already been ruled out for this season for KKR, and Matheesha Pathirana is still awaiting clearance from the Sri Lanka Cricket. KKR, led by Ajinkya Rahane, will begin their campaign against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on March 29th.
