March 24, New Delhi – As the U.S.-Israel-Iran conflict entered its 25th day on Tuesday, conflicting claims have emerged regarding possible diplomatic solutions.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf denied the claim on the social media platform X, stating, "No negotiations have taken place" with the U.S.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said that friendly countries had recently sent messages to Iran indicating the U.S.'s desire to begin talks on ending the war, but Iran has not responded. Baghaei also stated that Iran's position on the Strait of Hormuz, as well as its conditions for ending the war, remain unchanged.
Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had announced that he had ordered a five-day delay of planned strikes on Iranian power plants and energy facilities, citing "very good and productive conversations" over the past two days aimed at easing tensions in West Asia.
