March 30, New Delhi – The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has stated that Iran's heavy water production plant at Khondab has sustained severe damage and is no longer operational.
The facility was reportedly attacked on March 27. The UN nuclear watchdog said that the installation contains no declared nuclear material.
Photographs posted on social media on Friday showed fire and smoke at the facility after Iranian media reported attacks on it and a factory producing yellowcake uranium. Iranian media stated that there were no radiation leaks or danger resulting from either attack.
