March 07, New Delhi: The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that it had targeted an oil tanker in the Gulf during the ongoing conflict involving Iran, Israel, and the United States.
In a statement, the IRGC said that the tanker, operating under the trade name "Prima", was struck by an explosive drone after it ignored repeated warnings from IRGC naval forces regarding restrictions on traffic and security concerns in the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC had earlier stated that they were "waiting" for US forces to escort ships through the strait.
Meanwhile, Iran's army said that its navy launched a wave of drone attacks targeting Israel, as well as US bases in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.
The Revolutionary Guards also said they struck three locations belonging to what they described as separatist groups in the Kurdistan region of Iraq. The IRGC warned that any move by such groups against Iran's territorial integrity would be met with a strong response.
