March 07, New Delhi: Israel has launched a new wave of "large-scale" strikes on Tehran and central Iran. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that more than 80 fighter jets targeted Iranian military sites, missile launchers, and other installations, including an academy of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which was described as an emergency asset.
Following the strikes, the IDF detected another round of Iranian missile fire aimed at Israel after explosions were heard in the commercial hub of Tel Aviv. Israel stated that Iran had launched cluster bombs multiple times since the start of the conflict.
The IDF has also targeted southern Lebanon as part of its battle against Hezbollah, which is backed by Iran, conducting additional strikes on terrorist targets in the Dahiyeh District of Beirut. The IDF said that Iran's threat extends beyond its borders, and, in coordination with the United States, they are dismantling this terrorist network.
Meanwhile, the United States released video footage of strikes on targets in Iran, showing multiple buildings and a vehicle destroyed. U.S. Central Command said that its forces had struck over 3,000 targets in the first week of Operation Epic Fury.
