President Droupadi Murmu will deliver the keynote address during the national-level celebrations of International Women's Day at the Manekshaw Centre in New Delhi tomorrow.

Organized by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the event will also be attended by Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annapurna Devi and Minister of State Savitri Thakur.

The Ministry stated that the event is expected to see the participation of around one thousand women from over 150 ministries, departments, and organizations, including representatives from the Armed Forces, police, and other sectors.

Following the inaugural ceremony, the program will feature two panel discussions. The first panel discussion will focus on Labour Codes – Enhancing Women's Empowerment, while the second panel will discuss Women as Entrepreneurs in Self-Help Groups.

International Women's Day is observed globally on March 8th. The day celebrates the achievements and contributions of women across diverse fields and reaffirms the collective commitment towards gender equality, safety, dignity, and empowerment of women.
