
Jammu and Kashmir continued their impressive performance in the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2026, winning both their opening matches in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
In their second match, J&K secured a dominant 14-0 victory over Hockey Rajasthan in a Pool B, Division ‘C’ encounter. Captain Komal led the team with a hat-trick (26', 35', 60').
The team dominated throughout, with Avni (6', 9'), Mauki (20', 25'), Sanjana (12', 55'), and Akanksha (6', 59') each scoring two goals, while Haiqa Banday added another goal to complete the resounding victory.
Earlier, J&K had defeated Puducherry Hockey 3-2 in a closely contested opening match.
These back-to-back victories have boosted the team's morale as they aim to progress further in the tournament.
The championship, featuring 29 teams across Divisions A, B, and C, will continue until April 12, with promotion and relegation adding to the competitive intensity.
