J&K Launches New Digital Services for Fruit & Vegetable Trade.webp

In Jammu and Kashmir, as a significant step towards digital governance and ease of doing business, the Directorate of Horticulture Planning & Marketing (DHP&M) today launched two online services on the Jan Sugam Portal. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that the services include "Issuance of Fresh License for Trade & Renewal of License for Trade." These services relate to trade activities in Fruit and Vegetable Markets and have been successfully developed by the IT Cell of the Information Technology Department. The services were launched by the Director of DHP&M, Ghulam Jeelani Zargar, in the presence of Additional Secretary IT, Devender Singh Bhau; Head of IT Cell, Megha Khajuria, and others. The introduction of these two services marks an important milestone in the digital transformation of horticulture/agriculture-related services in the Union Territory. The initiative aims to streamline the trade licensing process, making it time-bound, enhance transparency, and provide greater convenience to traders/stakeholders by enabling them to access services online without the need for physical visits.
