
SRINAGAR, March 29: The Jammu and Kashmir Nursing Council, in collaboration with the former Jammu and Kashmir Paramedical Council, successfully conducted diploma examinations for over 18,000 students across Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh.
The examinations were held at 31 centers across the Union Territory, including 17 centers in the Kashmir Division (covering 10 districts along with Ladakh) and 14 centers in the Jammu Division. A special examination center was also established at Central Jail, Srinagar, for a single candidate, at the request of the jail authorities.
Of the total candidates, 8,720 appeared from the Kashmir Division, while 9,277 candidates took the exams in the Jammu Division. Additionally, 43 candidates appeared from Ladakh.
A total of 33 papers across 15 different streams were conducted, with 18,040 candidates participating in the examinations.
The smooth and successful conduct of the exams highlights the councils' commitment to maintaining high academic standards and strengthening professional training in nursing and allied healthcare fields.
