Srinagar, March 25 The Jammu and Kashmir Police safely disposed of a live artillery shell found in the forests near the Line of Control in the Baramulla district on Wednesday, officials said.
Upon receiving information about the presence of a live shell in the Kalgai forest area of Uri, a police team reached the spot, secured the area, and took all necessary precautionary measures, they said.
"A Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team from the Baramulla Police was deployed, which safely neutralized and disposed of the live artillery shell in accordance with established safety protocols," the officials said.
