J&K Prepares for Wet Spell: Rainfall Forecast from March 26.webp

The Meteorological Department has predicted that Jammu and Kashmir will experience another period of heavy rainfall starting from March 26. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that the Union Territory has experienced multiple spells of snow and rain during the current month. The weather department has stated that from March 26 to 28, the region is expected to have generally cloudy conditions, with light rain or snow in some areas during the afternoon. From March 29 to 31, generally cloudy conditions are expected, with the possibility of light to moderate rain and snow in higher areas at several locations. Thunder and strong winds with speeds of 40-50 kmph are also expected during this period. The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy to generally cloudy from April 1 to 4. The MeT department has also issued an advisory warning of moderate snowfall in some higher areas and thunder, lightning, and strong winds in many areas between the night of March 28 and the morning of March 31. Farmers have been advised to suspend farm operations on March 26 and between March 29 and 31, given the expected weather conditions. Travelers have also been asked to follow traffic advisories and plan their movements accordingly during this period.
