Jammu, March 1, 2026: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha chaired a review meeting in Jammu to assess the security situation across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo, DGP Nalin Prabhat, senior officials, and all Deputy Commissioners and SSPs.
Emphasizing that peace is a collective responsibility, the Lieutenant Governor appealed to all communities to remain calm and united. He commended the coordinated efforts of the J&K Police, security forces, and the civil administration in maintaining law and order.
He also stated that the government is closely monitoring the situation in West Asia, with senior UT officials coordinating with the Ministry of External Affairs to ensure the safety and well-being of J&K residents and students.
