Twenty students from Kashmir visited the J&K Resident Commission in New Delhi as part of the "Bharat Darshan-2026" program.

February 23, Srinagar: A group of 20 students from Kashmir visited the Resident Commission of Jammu and Kashmir in New Delhi as part of the "Bharat Darshan-2026" program, an initiative of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The visit was a key component of their educational tour, aimed at broadening their understanding of governance and administrative systems in the national capital.

The program was designed to familiarize students with the functioning of government institutions outside the Union Territory and to provide insight into the role of the Resident Commission in coordinating between the Government of Jammu and Kashmir and various ministries and departments of the Government of India.

The interaction session was conducted under the supervision of Anil Sharma, additional resident commissioner, who outlined the mandate, objectives, and responsibilities of the Resident Commission in New Delhi.

Students were briefed on the commission's role in liaising with central ministries and national agencies, facilitating official visits, and handling administrative matters for the Union Territory. They also learned about the management of Jammu and Kashmir government properties and guest houses in Delhi, support services for citizens and officials from the Union Territory, and the importance of institutional
