
March 16, New Delhi – External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is visiting Brussels, where he will meet with counterparts from the 27 EU Member States at the Foreign Affairs Council meeting.
He began the visit by meeting his Cypriot counterpart, Constantinos Kombos.
The two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen the strategic partnership and exchanged views on the situation in West Asia.
As the President of the Council of the EU, India appreciates Cyprus' support in advancing the engagement between the European Union and India.
In addition, Dr. Jaishankar will also meet with the leadership of the European Union and his counterparts from Belgium and other EU Member States.
The visit of the EAM comes after the historic 16th India-EU Summit and is expected to further deepen India's strategic partnership with the European Union.
