
Guwahati, April 7 Rajasthan Royals posted a formidable 150/3 against Mumbai Indians in their shortened IPL match, which was reduced to a 11-over contest here on Tuesday due to rain.
Asked to bat first, openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi started aggressively, scoring 80 runs in just 5 overs at the Barsapara Stadium.
Jaiswal scored an unbeaten 77 off 32 balls, while the 15-year-old Sooryavanshi scored 39 runs in 14 balls, including hitting two sixes off Jasprit Bumrah in his very first over.
Sooryavanshi smashed five sixes and a four in his explosive innings, while Jaiswal hit 10 boundaries and four maximums during his entertaining stay at the crease.
The match started delayed by over two and a half hours due to persistent rain.
