JAMMU, MARCH 18: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha participated in the Jammu Aarti held at the Raghunath Temple and called upon people to organize regular evening aartis along the riverbanks across the Jammu Division.

Addressing the gathering, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that the Jammu Aarti reflects India's deep-rooted reverence for women's strength and the concept of Ardhanarishvar, while invoking blessings for all. He encouraged communities to hold daily or weekly aartis, stating that the light from these rituals can reconnect society—especially the youth—with the timeless wisdom of sacred scriptures.

Describing the aarti as a "discipline of the soul," he said it inspires individuals to reflect on the source of existence and cultivate gratitude. He added that each flame symbolizes devotion, each prayer represents a connection with the infinite, and every moment spent in aarti contributes to an inner spiritual journey.

In the context of today's fast-paced world, Manoj Sinha highlighted the importance of such meditative practices, noting that the Jammu Aarti offers an opportunity for people to rediscover their inner spiritual wealth.

He further stated that efforts are underway to develop Jammu—often known as the "City of Temples"—as a global spiritual hub and a key destination for religious tourism. The aarti at Raghunath Temple, he said, will enhance the spiritual experience of devotees visiting Vaishno Devi and Amarnath Cave, while also boosting the local economy.

The Lieutenant Governor noted that such gatherings promote self-realization and help the younger generation connect with India's spiritual heritage. He urged youth to value this legacy, describing it as an "inner treasure" rather than material inheritance.

The event was organized by Shri Raghunath Ji Ki Jammu Aarti Sanstha. Dr. Ritu Singh, Chairperson of the Sanstha, along with other dignitaries and devotees, was present on the occasion.
