Jammu, March 22 The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday directed its MLAs here to be proactive in highlighting people's concerns and also expose any anti-people stance of the Jammu and Kashmir government.

This directive was communicated during a meeting convened by J-K BJP President and MP Sat Sharma, along with General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul, at the party headquarters in Jammu, a spokesperson said.

During his address, Sharma stressed that the current situation in Jammu and Kashmir requires a vigilant and committed approach and asked legislators to "forcefully expose any anti-people stance of the government" while ensuring accountability at every level.

Additionally, Sharma urged MLAs to pressure the National Conference (NC)-led government to fully commit to policies that promote public welfare without bias towards any region, ensuring equal development and justice for all areas and social groups.

He assured that the BJP would continue to act as a constructive yet assertive opposition to guarantee that the government remains responsive to the needs of the people.

In his address, Koul stressed the importance of coordinated efforts and organisational discipline among party legislators. He said MLAs must work in close coordination with the party organisation to effectively raise public issues, particularly those related to development, governance and basic amenities.

Koul also asked legislators to share the outcomes of the party's training camps in their respective constituencies.

Senior leaders, including S S Salathia and Pawan Gupta, led discussions in which MLAs shared feedback and concerns regarding issues faced by people across different regions.
