Jammu-Delhi Rajdhani: Increased Capacity for Peak Season

Jammu-Delhi Rajdhani: Increased Capacity for Peak Season.webp

To accommodate the increased passenger traffic and reduce waiting lists during the ongoing peak season, the Jammu Railway Division of Northern Railways has decided to extend the availability of an additional Third AC (3AC) coach on the prestigious Jammu-New Delhi Rajdhani Express for multiple trips this week. The additional coach, initially attached to Train No. 12426 on March 7 and scheduled for March 14, will now also be available on March 13 and 15. This decision aims to provide immediate relief to passengers on the waiting list. The inclusion of the extra coach will add approximately 72 berths per trip, significantly increasing the train's carrying capacity.

Adding additional coaches to the Rajdhani Express will not only increase capacity but also provide passengers with modern safety and amenities. This move is expected to benefit a large number of passengers traveling on this high-demand route during the current festive/peak travel period. Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu Railway Division, Uchit Singhal said that the Jammu Division is committed to providing a better travel experience to passengers. He further advised passengers to check the latest seat availability through the official IRCTC website or by dialing the railway's national enquiry number 139 for a hassle-free journey.
