Chief Minister Omar Abdullah arrived in Hubballi to support the J&K team on the final day of the Ranji Trophy final, as the team aims for a historic first title.

February 28, Srinagar: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is in Hubballi, Karnataka, to witness the final day of the Ranji Trophy final, as the Jammu & Kashmir cricket team is on the verge of making history.

Calling it a defining moment for J&K cricket, the chief minister said he traveled to Hubballi to personally support the team as it strives to achieve a historic victory.

"I am in Hubballi to support the J&K cricket team as they achieve a historic win. The team has dominated the opposition in every day of this five-day final," he said.

The chief minister arrived in Karnataka on Friday evening to provide support to the team, which is being hailed as a landmark chapter in the sporting history of Jammu and Kashmir. With support from across the region, the team is poised to win the title in its maiden appearance in the final of India's premier domestic cricket championship.

Advisor to the chief minister Nasir Aslam Wani, MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq, and the administrator of the J&K Cricket Association accompanied him.

A victory would mark Jammu and Kashmir's first Ranji Trophy triumph, reflecting the growing stature and resilience of cricketing talent from the region.
