JAMMU, March 16: A three-day district-level training program for Census officials began in Jammu, organized by the District Administration in collaboration with the Directorate of Census Operations, J&K.
The training, scheduled for March 16, 18, and 23, aims to prepare field officials for the upcoming Census operations. Officials were trained on procedures, legal provisions, the CMMS portal, self-enumeration (May 17–31, 2026), and house-listing (June 1–30, 2026).
Additional Deputy Commissioner and District Census Officer Vidhu Shekhar emphasized the importance of accuracy, coordination, and capacity building for the successful conduct of the Census.
