Jammu, March 19: The Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has launched a city-wide campaign to raise awareness and encourage residents to clear outstanding water bills before the March 31 deadline.
Following the instructions of Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav, the Jal Shakti Department has set up 12 camps across Jammu to promote timely payments and offer on-the-spot bill settlement. Key locations include Roopnagar, Janipur, Hazuri Bagh, Trikuta Nagar, Sainik Colony, Channi Himmat, and Greater Kailash.
Officials stated that nearly ₹30 crore in outstanding dues remain unpaid, which is affecting the maintenance of water infrastructure. Residents have been advised to clear their bills promptly, as strict measures, including disconnection of water supply, may be taken after the deadline.
