
Jhansi (UP), March 30 At least 13 passengers were injured in a collision involving a Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) bus, a truck, and a Maruti car in Jhansi district on Monday morning, police said.
The accident occurred around 6 am on the Kanpur road in the Badagaon area, they said, and all the injured are in stable condition.
Station House Officer (SHO) Arun Kumar said a roadways bus travelling from Jhansi to Kanpur collided with a truck that had entered the lane from the opposite direction near Bachhawali.
A Maruti car coming from behind also collided with the vehicles, he added.
In the three-vehicle collision, the bus conductor Richa Sahu and three occupants of the car were among the 13 injured, the SHO said.
All the injured were rushed to the medical college for treatment, he said, adding that a case has been registered against the absconding truck driver, and efforts are underway to locate him.
