
Medininagar (Jharkhand), April 6 One person was killed and four others, including two sub-divisional officers, were injured in separate road accidents in the districts of Palamu and Garhwa in Jharkhand on Monday, police said.
The two sub-divisional officers were injured when their government vehicle was hit by a truck on National Highway-98 near Birsa Munda Chowk, under the jurisdiction of the Chhatarpur police station, while they were on their way to Palamu to attend a government meeting.
"Three, including Naudiha Bazar sub-divisional officer (SDO) Sanjay Kumar Singh and Pipra SDO Jitendra Kumar Singh, were seriously injured after their government vehicle was hit by a truck. The driver was also injured. All three were admitted to a sub-divisional hospital and later referred to Medininagar Medical College and Hospital for better treatment," a police officer said.
In another incident in Garhwa, one person was killed, while another was injured after their motorcycle hit a culvert wall on the Dhurki-Bilaspur road in the Ghurki police station area on Monday, police station in-charge Janardhan Raut said.
The deceased was identified as Dharmjit Bhuiyan, while the injured was admitted to hospital, he said.
