
Ranchi, March 12 Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said on Thursday that he had a discussion with Assam Congress Chief Gaurav Gogoi on the election strategy for the upcoming assembly elections in the northeastern state.
Earlier, Gogoi called on Soren at his residential office here.
"Our discussions focused on formulating strategies for the elections in Assam," Soren told reporters here.
He said that leaders of his party, the JMM, and the Congress, continue to engage with each other, as part of organisational and electoral preparations.
Soren said that interactions between party leaders and the people of Assam are ongoing, with delegations from the state visiting Jharkhand and party representatives travelling to Assam as part of the outreach efforts.
Assembly elections in Assam are likely to be held in April.
