
Ranchi, February 27 A wild elephant entered Jharkhand's capital, Ranchi, on Friday morning, causing panic among locals, a forest official said.
The elephant was roaming in the Hawai Nagar area, and a team of forest officials has been deployed to drive the animal out of the city, he said.
"The elephant may have strayed from its usual route and entered the city. Since it is school time for children, we are taking all necessary safety precautions," Ranchi Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Srikant Verma told
