
Bokaro, March 3 A fire broke out at a tent house in the Bokaro district of Jharkhand on Tuesday evening, which triggered an explosion of LPG cylinders kept inside it, police said.
So far, no casualties have been reported from the incident, they said.
The incident occurred near Siwandih More, under the jurisdiction of the Marafari police station.
Azad Khan, the in-charge of the Marafari police station, said that they noticed the fire at the tent house around 5:30 pm, while they were conducting a parade for the Holi festival.
"We immediately informed the fire department. After a few hours of firefighting, the fire was extinguished. However, all the materials inside the tent house were completely destroyed by the fire," he said.
Four fire tenders were deployed to extinguish the fire, another official said.
Khan said that the exact cause of the fire is being investigated.
