
March 30, New Delhi – Jharkhand and Himachal Pradesh each won two gold medals, while Mizoram secured a couple of gold medals in the weightlifting competition at the Khelo India Tribal Games.
Jharkhand started their gold medal tally with Poonam Oraon winning the women's 50kg final, and Anjit Kumar Munda winning the men's 67kg final through technical superiority.
Himachal Pradesh secured its two gold medals through Navish Kumar and Priyanka Chaudhary. These two gold medals propelled Mizoram to fifth place in the overall medal standings.
Karnataka continues to lead with 15 gold medals, while Odisha is in second place with nine.
