
Godda, April 9 A 26-year-old man was allegedly killed in Jharkhand's Godda district due to an old grudge, police said on Thursday.
The incident occurred in Rampur village, within the jurisdiction of the Pathargama police station, on Wednesday night, they said.
"Three individuals have been detained for questioning in connection with the case," said Shivdayal Singh, in-charge of the Pathargama police station.
The deceased has been identified as Neeraj Kumar Panjiyara.
Panjiyara's father alleged in the police complaint that his neighbors were responsible for the murder.
The father claimed that his son was sleeping on the rooftop when the accused arrived and allegedly tied up his hands and legs. They then beat him with a hammer and a stick.
His family took him to the Pathargama Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead.
Police said a hammer, a stick, and a rope were recovered from the scene.
