Jharkhand Patient Dies After Hospital Attempt.webp

Jamshedpur, March 20 A patient at a state-run hospital in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, died after allegedly jumping from the fourth floor of the building in the early hours of Friday, police said.

The HIV-positive patient, who resided in the Parsudih area of Jamshedpur, was suffering from tuberculosis and was admitted to MGM Hospital on March 16, according to family members.

He had reportedly attempted to jump from the window twice on Thursday night, but his mother intervened, police said.

Around 4 am on Friday, the patient allegedly jumped from the fourth-floor cabin while his mother was asleep, and died, they said.

Sachin Kumar Das, the Officer-in-Charge of the MGM police station, said that an investigation is underway.
