Jamshedpur, April 1 Four people were arrested on Wednesday for allegedly opening fire on a man in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, a senior police officer said.

The accused were apprehended along with arms and ammunition from a dilapidated building following a raid, he said.

They had allegedly opened fire on Vikram Singh, also known as Vicky, who was travelling in a car, near Dimna Basti Road in the Olidih police station area on Monday, the officer said.

The man suffered serious injuries and is currently receiving treatment at a hospital here.

SP (Rural) Rishabha Garg said an FIR was registered against the four accused based on Vicky's statement.

Police have recovered two firearms and live cartridges from their possession.

One of the accused told the police that they fired at the man due to an old dispute, the SP said.
