
Gumla, Apr 1 A 45-year-old man was killed in connection with a suspected love triangle in Gumla district, Jharkhand, police said on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Chhichhwani village, under the Chainpur Police Station limits, on Monday, when the man was attacked by Kamil Toppo, a senior officer said.
The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Kumar Minj, he said.
Gumla SP Haris Bin Zaman said, "An FIR has been registered against the accused. He is on the run. Prima facie, it appears that Minj was killed due to a suspected love affair. However, the matter is being thoroughly investigated."
The incident occurred when Minj was returning home with his daughter from a field.
Villagers alleged that the deceased had an extramarital affair with a woman, and Toppo was having a love affair with the same woman.
