The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has issued a notification regarding the syllabi and courses of study for Classes 9th to 12th for the upcoming academic sessions. An Akashvani Jammu correspondent reports that according to the notification, there will be no changes to the syllabi for Classes 9th and 10th in the Kashmir Division and Winter Zone areas of the Jammu Division for the 2025–26 academic session, and for the 2026–27 academic session in the Summer Zone areas of the Jammu Division. However, the board stated that minor revisions have been made to the syllabi of some subjects for Classes 11th and 12th. The revised subjects include Punjabi and Physical Education for Class 11th, while Education and Environmental Science have been revised for Class 12th. JKBOSE further stated that question papers for Regular and Fresh Private candidates appearing in the annual session examinations scheduled in October–November 2026 for the Kashmir Division and Winter Zone areas of the Jammu Division, and in February–March 2027 for the Summer Zone areas of the Jammu Division, will be set according to the revised syllabi of these subjects. The board also informed that the updated syllabi are available on its official website www.jkboses.com for students and other stakeholders. This move aims to ensure clarity and uniformity in academic courses for the upcoming sessions.
