
Ranchi, March 19 The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, which aims to establish itself as a national political force rather than a regional party, is planning to contest over 30 seats in the upcoming elections for the 126-member Assam assembly.
The party intends to appeal to the approximately 70 lakh tea-tribe people, many of whom migrated from Jharkhand long ago.
"The party has decided to contest 31 seats in the upcoming Assam assembly elections after careful consideration. However, a final decision on this will be made soon," a JMM leader told
