
February 21, New Delhi – Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a press statement today during a joint briefing with Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
Speaking about India-Brazil relations, Prime Minister Modi stated that India will increase the supply of affordable, quality medicines to Brazil and expand Ayurveda and traditional medicine to promote holistic healthcare.
He added that agreements on critical minerals and rare earths will strengthen supply chains and deepen strategic cooperation, including in agriculture and food security.
PM Modi also emphasized that technology and innovation remain key pillars of the partnership, with new initiatives underway in digital public infrastructure and emerging technologies.
The Prime Minister noted that Brazil is India's largest trade partner in Latin America and said that both countries are committed to significantly expanding bilateral trade in the coming years.
