
Inspector General of Police (IGP), Jammu Zone, Bhim Sen Tuti, accompanied by DIG Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban Range Shridhar Patil and SSP Kishtwar Naresh Singh, visited Chatroo to assess the current security situation following a major anti-terror operation in the area.
During the visit, the IGP interacted with personnel of the Special Operations Group (SOG) and praised them for their recent operational success. He commended the troops for their bravery, coordination, and professionalism in handling the operation.
The visit took place a day after a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Indian Army, and the Central Reserve Police Force neutralized three militants, including Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Saifullah, who was backed by Pakistan.
Officials described the operation as a significant success in ongoing counter-terror efforts, stating that coordinated actions by security forces have dealt a decisive blow to militant networks operating in the region.
