New Delhi, March 24 The Supreme Court collegium approved a proposal on Tuesday to appoint eight additional judges as permanent judges in two high courts.
The collegium, headed by Chief Justice Surya Kant, approved the names of Justices R Poornima, M Jothiraman, and Augustine Devadoss and Maria Clete as permanent judges in the Madras High Court.
In another decision, the collegium approved the names of Justices Sachin Singh Rajput, Radhakishan Agrawal, Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, Bibhu Datta Guru, and Amitendra Kishore Prasad as permanent judges in the Chhattisgarh High Court.
