Chennai, April 1 – The makers of the eagerly awaited investigative thriller, 'Kaalidas 2', starring Bharath in the lead, directed by Sri Senthil, have now revealed the first look of actress Bhavani Sre as Vaishnavi in the film, much to the delight of fans and film enthusiasts.
The makers released the first look poster of the actress, showing her dressed as a police officer.
It may be recalled that the makers have already disclosed that actress Abarnathi plays a character called Sanju and actor Kishore plays a character called Pandya in the film.
For those unaware, the eagerly awaited film is set to release on April 3 this year.
The film, which is the second installment in the superhit franchise 'Kaalidas', is being produced by Five Star K.Senthil and Dr. N. Yogeshwaran. Written and directed by Sri Senthil, who was also the director of the immensely popular first part, 'Kaalidas 2' will feature Ajay Karthi alongside Bharath.
The film will also feature a host of actors including Bhavani Sre, Sangita, Abarnathi, Ananth Nag, TM Karthik, and 'Singam' Jayavel.
The film has generated significant interest among fans and film enthusiasts for several reasons. Firstly, the film is the sequel to the superhit film 'Kaalidas'. Secondly, it marks the return of actress Sangita to the big screen after a long hiatus.
A teaser released by the makers a few months ago begins with Bharath, who plays a police officer in the film, receiving a call for help from a woman who is visibly frightened. She tearfully pleads with him to come to her rescue.
We then hear a voice-over asking, "Can every sin here be forgiven? But then, there is a punishment for every crime. As per law, there is some punishment. At the same time, the punishment for some crimes isn't delivered by external forces." The teaser shows that along with Bharath, Bhavani Sre also plays a police officer in this film. The film has the tagline "Monster Hunt".
Sources close to the film's unit say that the second installment of the thriller will have more mystery, more danger, and delve deeper into the world of crime and justice.
On the technical front, the film has music by Sam CS and cinematography by Suresh Bala. The film's editing is by Bhuvan Srinivasan, while G Durairaj has served as its production designer.
The screenplay for the film has been written by Aravindan Anand, and the art direction has been handled by 'Kaliyuga' A. Raja. The dances in the film have been choreographed by Bobby, while the stunts have been choreographed by Om Prakash.
Tapas Nayak is the audiographer for this film, and the lyrics of whose songs have been penned by Mohanraj. The costumes in the film have been designed by Dorothy Jai (DJ).
