A five-day painting exhibition by renowned artist Rajinder Pal Singh was inaugurated at Kala Kendra, attracting artists, writers, and art enthusiasts from across the region.

Padma Shri awardee Rajinder Tickoo was the chief guest at the event. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by senior artist Vijay Saraf, prominent art historian Lalit Gupta, and Secretary of Kala Kendra, Javaid Rahi.

In his welcome address, Javaid Rahi stated that the exhibition aims to provide a platform for local artists to showcase their work, especially creations developed over long artistic journeys. He noted that the display reflects nearly 17 years of dedication by the artist.

Rajinder Tickoo praised Singh as a prominent figure in modern art in Jammu, adding that his works have consistently impressed art lovers. Vijay Saraf highlighted that the paintings reflect the continuity of artistic traditions and vividly express the artist’s inner world through colours.

Lalit Gupta commended Singh's distinctive style and appreciated Kala Kendra's role in promoting local talent.

Speaking about his exhibition, Rajinder Pal Singh said his solo show titled "Sublime Nature (2009–2026)" represents years of continuous engagement with modern art.

The exhibition will remain open to the public until April 1, 2026, from 11 am to 5 pm at the G.R. Santosh Gallery, Kala Kendra, Bikram Chowk.
