
Chennai, March 24 The MNM, a constituent of the DMK-led Secular Progressive Alliance, announced on Tuesday that it would not contest the April 23 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
MNM founder Kamal Haasan declared that his party would not participate in the elections but would extend unconditional support to all candidates of the DMK-led alliance.
In a statement, Haasan said that in politics, elections are only a part of the process, and they are not final; there is no "full stop" in politics.
