March 29, New Delhi: Karnataka continued their dominance at the inaugural Khelo India Tribal Games, fueled by a strong performance in swimming, extending their lead in the medal standings.
Manikanta stood out, adding two gold medals and a silver to his collection, as Karnataka surged ahead. Odisha remained in second place with six gold medals, while Assam held third place. The host state, Chhattisgarh, had their best performance so far, securing one silver and two bronze medals.
With participation from 30 states and Union Territories, and over 3,800 athletes competing across various disciplines, the Games are witnessing a wider distribution of medals, with 14 states already on the podium and six claiming at least one gold.
